The North Worcestershire Teacher Training Hub, working in partnership with South Bromsgrove High School and accredited by the University of Worcester, provides high-quality, school-centred teacher training for aspiring teachers.
We believe the best way to learn to teach is to be immersed in school life, supported by experienced teachers and mentors who are passionate about developing the next generation of teachers.
Whether you are looking to teach in Early Years, Primary or the Middle Phase, our programme combines high-quality academic training with extensive experience in the classroom.

Successfully completing the programme leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE, with credits towards Masters-level study through the University of Worcester.

Where opportunities arise, our trainees may be offered Early Career Teacher positions within our partnership of schools, allowing you to continue your professional development and leadership journey beyond your initial teacher training.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people with the enthusiasm, commitment and potential to become exceptional teachers.
You don't need to have worked in a school before. School experience is desirable but not essential.
- An honours degree, normally 2:2 or above. Applicants with a third-class degree may be considered on an individual basis.
- GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics and Science.
- An Enhanced DBS check and Children's Barred List check.
- A check against the Teachers' Prohibition List.
- An occupational health check confirming that you meet the requirements to teach.
- Additional checks may apply if you have lived, studied or worked overseas.
If you do not have the required GCSE qualifications, equivalency tests may be available.

3. Train
Spend the year learning from experienced teachers while developing your knowledge, skills and confidence in the classroom.
